PREVALENCE OF PSYCHIATRIC MANIFESTATIONS IN A SAMPLE OF HEALTHCARE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN AL-AZHAR UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS

Background: Health care workers may be particularly vulnerable to adverse psychological outcomes during COVID-19 pandemic. Aim of the Work: investigate prevalence symptoms depression among a sample Al-Azhar university hospitals doctors and nurses. Patient Methods: This study was conducted on 193 healthcare in Al Azhar University hospitals, Cairo. Each participant included subjected demographic data collection, assessment psychiatric using checklist scale semi-structured clinical Interview - DSM-IV. Results: The showed higher incidences depressive disorders, anxiety disorders obsessive-compulsive female followed by nurses when compared with other groups P value (< 0.001 for all). Incidence histrionic personality traits significantly (P-value = 0.022). Female had incidence < 0.001). While paranoid (P-value< 0.001) narcissistic =0.002). Conclusion: During pandemic, there is an elevated risk sadness health personnel. As length pandemic continues, it will essential medical personnel provide continuing monitoring assistance.
